In August I wrote to Transport Minister Humza Yousaf making the case for a railway station in Robroyston. Robroyston suffers very poor public transport links and the building of 1,600 new houses in the area is going to put pressure on local infrastructure. The Scottish Government has committed £5bn to rail improvements over the course of this Parliament.
It has also recently allocated an addition £100m for infrastructure, to offset the negative effects of Brexit. Some of that must be made available for a rail link in Robroyston. I also put down a motion in the Parliament which I hope other Glasgow-based MSPs will sign.
